Summary

The show takes us through the struggles of life as a child monster. 3 monster friends are studying how to scare humans in school. Often their attempts don’t work out as planned.

Characters

Ickis: Ickis is constantly nervous and a little too cute for his own good (the rabbit ears don’t help), he has a lot to overcome before he can graduate from the Monster Academy.

Krumm: Krumm is very laid back, can eat just about anything, and is always up for a good joke. If the sight of his doesn’t make you faint the odor from his stinky armpits will…

Oblina: A bit of a know-it-all, Oblina often gets impatient with the antics of Ickis and Krumm, but she’s a true friend if one of them is down in the dumps.

The Gromble: If you think you’ve seen the scariest teacher ever, then you haven’t met Gromble. He’s the headmaster of the Monster Academy. He’s been known to chew his students out-literally…

The Snorch and Zimbo: Where does every monster get sent when they act unruly in The Gromble’s class? To The Snorch, of course! The Snorch is a huge and terrifying beast that keeps even the scariest monsters on their best behavior. His constant companion and mouthpiece is the much less intimidating Zimbo, who flies around in the sewers and reports any trouble he sees directly to anyone in charge. Zimbo is looked at as somewhat of a tattle-tale by the other monsters, but he doesn’t mind too much, especially when his best pal happens to be the dreaded Snorch!

Simon: Simon is a monster hunter. Although the world at large doesn’t believe they exist, Simon has devoted his entire life to the capture and exposure of a real monster… if it’s the last thing he ever does! His encounters with Ickis and the other students at The Gromble’s school have only strengthened his resolve, despite his constant failures to successfully carry out any of his schemes. Simon remains one of the monsters most devious foes, but like any human, he can be greatly influenced by a good scare.
