On November 30, Nick has a treat for fans of the Avatar: The Last Airbender as it brings forth an hour-long TV movie entitled “Day of Black Sun.” Tagged by Nickelodeon as the darkest day of the year, this special feature sees Aang and his rag-tag squad as they strike down the Fire Nation during the solar eclipse. On November 30, Nickelodeon has a treat for fans of the Avatar: The Last Airbender as it brings forth an hour-long TV movie entitled “Day of Black Sun.” Tagged by Nickelodeon as the darkest day of the year, this special feature sees Aang and his rag-tag squad as they strike down the Fire Nation during the solar eclipse. In “Day of Black Sun,” Aang’s army becomes a massive force with fleets of Waterbenders and a horde of Earthbenders, including The Boulder, working together in attempt to pull off an unusual yet ingenious assault scheme. Along with Sokka, Katara and Toph, Aang is determined to accomplish his destiny as the Avatar. As the solar eclipse temporarily blocks the Fire Nation’s powers, Aang and his crew hunt down the evil Fire Lord for the ultimate face-off.

“The tension has heightened in this third season of Avatar, and fans will be on the edge of their seats,” Nickelodeon Executive Vice President Marjorie Cohn said in a statement. “An hour- long TV movie allows us the opportunity to further develop character arcs, advance the overall story and still provide the action fans love. We know they won’t be disappointed.”

In line with the much awaited special feature, Nickelodeon will feature a message board, embedded video player, links to Avatar games, collectibles and downloads, plus a sneak preview of the hour-long TV movie on Avatar’s official website.

Moreover, Nickelodeon will also launch the Avatar Game Tournament on Monday, November 19, which offers fans an opportunity to play their favorite Avatar games and win lots of digital prizes in the process. A new Game of the Week will also be released on Thursday, November 29 called Avatar: Black Sun Siege where players can control troops of Earth and Water Nation soldiers in a battle against the wicked Fire Nation.
